Fred McGinis (19 November 1876, in Hobart – 30 March 1953) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL).
McGinis played with Melbourne prior to their inception to the VFL, making his debut for the club aged seventeen in 1894. A rover, he starred for Melbourne in their debut season in the VFL. He was a premiership player with Melbourne in 1900 but vision difficulties two years later forced him out of the game and he returned to Tasmania.
